Natural Disasters across the world have led to huge losses of life and wealth all around the globe. Incidents such as encroachment in coastal zones and change of land use in mountain areas, that have been doing the rounds for decades now, have changed the climatic conditions of these areas to further trigger these disasters. As an outcome, unprepared cities succumb to this self-inflicted scenario. While many of such disasters have shaken countless cities around the globe, there have been a few cities that have come together to build resilient infrastructure through community determination and zeal. This session talks about a few of such communities that have learnt from the past and taken post disaster leap towards resilience and adaptation.
