  GRIHA Trophy at 61st Annual NASA Convention

The GRIHA Trophy, an architectural design competition was launched in 2013-14 and conducted successfully once again this year 2018-19 with support from Experion Developers Private Ltd. The Trophy brief required the students to Design a mixed use (Residential and Commercial) development for Experion Developers, at Lucknow. More than 50 colleges from all over India submitted their entries for the competition. Out of these, 12 entries were shortlisted for the audio visual round. The jury included Architect Dean D’Cruz ,Ar Ravi Kumar Gupta, Mr Ramachandran, Sr General Manager, MEP, Experion & Mr Ankit Bhalla, Deputy Manager, GRIHA Council.

 
 
  Three day Australia India Collaborative Workshops on ‘Construction Waste Reduction’
 
The researchers from Charles Darwin University, the University of Melbourne and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) have collaborated, to host workshops in New Delhi, India and Darwin, Australia on Efficient Construction Waste Management. This project is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trades’ Australia- India Council Grants program. The intent of the workshops is to increase cooperation and long term bilateral strategic partnerships between the two countries where researchers, decision makers and industry work together for improved knowledge sharing and mutual understanding on crucial CDW management issues.
The first set of three day Australia India Collaborative Workshops on Construction Waste Reduction were held from 9th January, 2019 to 11thJanuary, 2019 at TERI, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
 
 
  GRIHA 3 day training program organized at Kolhapur

A three-day intensive training programme was organized by GRIHA Council in association with Association of Architects and Engineers Kolhapur from 23rd January to 25th January 2019 at Kolhapur, Maharashtra to give a detailed understanding of the GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) rating system, to various stakeholders. The training programme was inaugurated by Shri. R.S. Mahajan, Assistant Director Town Planning, Kolhapur and delivered welcome address for the participants.

A new chemical conversion process could transform the world's polyolefin waste, a form of plastic, into useful products, such as clean fuels and other items. The conversion process incorporates selective extraction and hydrothermal liquefaction. Once the plastic is converted into naphtha, it can be used as a feedstock for other chemicals or further separated into specialty solvents or other products.
