Fortis, Shalimarbagh, a 3-star GRIHA rated project, was predicted to have an energy requirement of 305kWh/m2/year. After being occupied and operational, building performed even better than predicted, by feeding on just 193kWh/m2/year. Hence, demonstrating 52% reduction in energy performance index (EPI) from GRIHA benchmark.

Within a radius of 100km from coal or lignite based thermal power plants, manufacturers of bricks/blocks/tiles would use at least 25% of ash in their product.
