GRIHA Council successfully conducted an online training programme on SVAGRIHA V.3, the latest variant of the Simple Versatile Affordable GRIHA rating system, on 27th March 2025. The event was a resounding success, effectively equipping stakeholders, architects, and students with the knowledge and skills to integrate sustainability into small-scale projects such as bungalows and small offices. SVAGRIHA V.3, designed for new construction projects with built-up areas between 100 sqm and 2500 sqm, aims to make green building concepts accessible and practical for smaller-scale stakeholders. The training provided a comprehensive overview of this updated rating system, highlighting its easy-to-understand criteria and appraisals. Participants gained valuable insights into how SVAGRIHA V.3 simplifies implementation and assessment, enabling architects and project developers to adopt sustainable practices with ease. The programme emphasized the importance of informed decision-making during the initial stages of construction to minimize environmental impact, offering tools for qualitative and quantitative impact assessments.
A key highlight of the training was the detailed walkthrough demonstration of the New Panel, which left attendees well-prepared to apply sustainability features to their projects.
