3-Day GRIHA V 2015 Training Programme at Navi Mumbai
A 3-day intensive GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) training programme was organized by GRIHA Council from 6th February to 8th February, 2019 at Hotel Royal Orchid, Vashi, Navi Mumbai to enhance the knowledge on green buildings and GRIHA rating parameters for building professionals and students.
The program focused on sustainable site planning, water and wastewater management, building design optimization, energy performance optimization, renewable energy utilization, solid waste management, sustainable building material and construction technology, health, wellbeing and environmental quality. Each session was carried out with the presentation of the respective criteria followed by either group or individual exercises for the participants. Moreover, a session on Demonstration of IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions) tool for GRIHA compliance was organised by certified IES professional. The training session was designed to quickly run through the simulation techniques and methods, to gain more credits and ensure compliance with the mandatory GRIHA criteria, using the enhanced features of both, freely available software’s and paid.
The workshop was attended by 40 building professionals like architects, engineers, developers, policy makers and students. The workshop was concluded on a positive note, with the inclination to appear for the GRIHA Evaluator and Certified Professional (CP) exam.
