GRIHA Council at COP 28
The 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) conducted by the United Nations Framework for Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) was held from 30 November to 12 December 2023 in Expo City, Dubai under the presidency of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The conference concluded the first ever global stocktake of climate action under the Paris Agreement and agreed to accelerate short-term climate actions. Other significant milestones achieved in COP28 were operationalization of the Loss and Damage Fund and adoption of a framework for the Global Goal on Adaptation to strengthen collective action in building climate resilience. 3 Day Training Programme (Mumbai)
We successfully concluded the third of the multi-city series of training programmes on GRIHA v.2019 in Mumbai during 6-8 December 2023. These events give us and the participants, opportunities to learn and grow our professional networks; along with engaging in meaningful discussions. The enthusiastic group comprised 21 participants. The We look forward to engaging with more stakeholders in our upcoming training programmes. Our next training programme is scheduled in New Delhi and Guwahati.

HUDCO HSMI-eITEC training programme
HUDCO’s HSMI (Human Settlement Management Institute)-eITEC organized ‘Five Days Online Training Programme on Decarbonizing Habitat Programme- Meeting the Global Targets’ from 27th November to 01st December 2023. Experts from GRIHA Council delivered sessions on understanding of carbon markets in global and Indian context, Government of India’s initiatives aligned to SDGs, national commitments and climate goals, strategies to reduce carbon footprint in the new and existing built environment and integrate sustainability in the planning of smart cities.
The training programme was attended by overseas professionals from Algeria, Egypt, Mauritius, and Myanmar working in housing and urban development sector.
