3rd Regional conference on "Innovations in Sustainable Habitats - The GRIHA Approach"
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) along with ADaRSH (Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats) is organizing the 3rd Regional Conference & Exhibition, Innovations in Sustainable Habitats - The GRIHA Approach, in Bangalore on 10-11 December 2012. The first Regional Conference on Innovations in Green Buildings was held last year in Bangalore and was attended by over 250 professionals. This was followed by the second regional conference in Pune on 12-13 October 2012. The participants were from different disciplines like architecture, engineering, construction companies, corporates, and financing institutes. In order to engage more actively with the stakeholders of the green building industry, on the concepts of GRIHA, the 3rd GRIHA Regional Conference is being designed and organized with a global vision and local focus. The conference is being organised for two days where the first day will focus on research, innovative technologies, and performance tools for green buildings. The day will end with talk on Green life style with a special address by an eminent personality. The second day will focus on Sustainable Large Developments, and on ground implementation strategies along with case studies of green buildings. This year's regional conference in Bangalore will also have a special focus on communities and their involvement in attaining sustainability through green lifestyle.
