A half-day workshop on Technical and Regulatory Nuances of Green Buildings was conducted by Lucknow Management Association (LMA) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Architects, UP Chapter, IIT Roorkee Alumni Association & TERI on July 3, 2017 in Housing Board Conference Complex, Lucknow.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi', Hon'ble Minister of Stamp and Registration and Civil Aviation, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the need for implementing sustainable green buildings, and announced that all upcoming airports in Uttar Pradesh would be green and will receive GRIHA Certification. Dr Ajay Mathur delivered the keynote address on cost benefits of green buildings for individuals, organizations, and society in general.

Mr Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) talked about the green and sustainable practices being implemented by LMRC in the upcoming metro stations. Further, a technical session on material and technology to make buildings green and sustainable was delivered by Ms Megha Behal, Research Associate, CRSBS, TERI. Post this, a technical session on the rating system for green buildings and regulatory framework was delivered by Ms Chitrangada Bisht, Program Manager, GRIHA Council.

The programme was attended by several architects and engineers from different organizations in the city, and was very well received.
