GRIHA Evaluators & Trainers Programme at Hyderabad
A three day intensive 'GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment)' training program for evaluators and trainers was organized in hotel Courtyard Marriot in Hyderabad from 17-19 Nov 2014 to give a detailed understanding of GRIHA rating system. Ms Swati Puchalapalli, inaugurated the training programme and presented the genesis of GRIHA to a group of 26 participants comprising of architects, environment analyst and engineers from across the region.
The program focused on sustainable site planning, water and waste water management, building design optimization, energy performance optimization, renewable energy utilization, solid waste management, sustainable building material and construction technology, health & well being and environmental quality. The 3-day programme coordinated by project officer from GRIHA team was divided into fourteen sessions including the GRIHA website demonstration and the GRIHA Evaluator and Trainer qualifying exams. The resource persons for various sessions were Mr Gaurav Shorey, Mr Apoorv Vij, Mr Pradeep Kumar, Ms Swati Gupta and Dr Hina Zia.
The programme was very well received by the audiences with 70% of them rating it as an excellent programme and were willing to promote it in their region.
