GRIHA is the national rating system for green buildings that dovetails Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), National Building Code (NBC) and other applicable codes for reducing building's footprint at large and hence is gaining strength all over the country.

In the light of fact that Government of Sikkim has recently committed to sustainable building construction through GRIHA, the focus is on creating awareness regarding green building concept and GRIHA in the region. Realizing the need for capacity building among the building professionals for implementation of sustainable practices, GRIHA in collaboration with Buildings & Housing Department, Government of Sikkim is co-organizing a one day programme on June 5, 2015 in Sikkim.
