GRIHA Council organized a one day training programme on SVAGRIHA (Small Versatile Affordable GRIHA) rating system at VQCC Hall, C.E. Office, PWD, Nashik on 3rd October 2018, for Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Maharashtra officials. The training programme was inaugurated by Shri. H. S. Pagare, Chief Engineer of Nashik Public Works Circle, PWD and delivered welcome address for the participants. The training programme was initiated with a brief introduction of GRIHA Council, followed by a detailed presentation on various aspects of SVAGRIHA rating system. It focused on landscape, architecture, energy, waste, water, materials and lifestyle to enable participants understand the rating system. Subsequently, the participants were also engaged with hands-on demo of the online SVAGRIHA tool, to reiterate the simplicity of the tool.

The programme was attended by 61 officials across Nashik region, including Dhule, Jalgaon, and Ahmednagar. Participants found the training programme useful and knowledgeable and requested to conduct more of such programmes at regular intervals.
