Online Training Programme on GRIHA EB
GRIHA Council successfully conducted a one-day online training programme focused on GRIHA for Existing Buildings (GRIHA EB) on 9th August 2024. Designed to empower building owners, operators, and facility managers, this intensive session provided crucial knowledge and tools for transforming existing buildings into sustainable spaces using the GRIHA EB rating system.
About GRIHA EB:
GRIHA EB is a comprehensive green building rating system tailored specifically for evaluating the performance of existing buildings. It offers a structured approach to enhancing energy and water efficiency, improving thermal and visual comfort, and reducing operational and maintenance costs. The rating system is based on a 100-point scale with 12 criteria across seven sections: Site Parameters, Maintenance & Housekeeping, Energy, Water, Human Health & Comfort, Social Aspects, and Bonus Points. Of these, six criteria are mandatory, while the remaining are optional, each with specific point allocations. Achieving a rating requires a minimum of 25 points.
