Re-defining thermal comfort – The way forward
GRIHA Council is organizing a technical workshop on the topic "Re-defining thermal comfort – The way forward" to be held on Friday, 27th October 2023, from 10 A.M to 6 P.M at India Habitat Centre (IHC), Lodhi Road, New Delhi, Delhi 110003. This is a prelude to the 15th GRIHA Summit that will be hosted on 23-24 November 2023.
This comprehensive workshop aims to educate diverse building industry professionals, like students, architects, designers, HVAC engineers, etc., about indoor thermal comfort requirements. Further, the workshop will also focus on experiences with key market stakeholders, providing valuable insights into practical implications when designing for thermal comfort. The workshop encompasses challenges tackled, successful strategies employed, and lessons drawn.
It also aims to offer a blend of historical insights and contemporary cases related to naturally ventilated buildings' thermal comfort. The workshop will also encourage participants to transcend conventional solutions and embrace sustainable practices and promises to be forward-looking. Further, Tools like the India Model for Adaptive Comfort (IMAC) and CBE Thermal Comfort Tool will be discussed and supplemented by hands-on exercises to ensure practical understanding.
Industry expert Ar. Gaurav Shorey, Director, PSI Energy Pvt. Ltd, will be conducting this workshop.
