USAID's Competitiveness Project has been working with the Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia, Colliers International, and the University of Belgrade Faculty of Architecture to establish Serbia as a regional leader in Green Building, with companies and engineers capable of bidding for and winning green building projects. In order for Serbia to have qualified people to lead this effort, USAID and its partners launched the first Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Course in Serbia, which is an internationally recognized certification system that has set the standards for green building.
