An interactive training workshop, with a demonstration of the online panel for Jan Awas Nirman GRIHA (JAN GRIHA) Certification, was conducted on 23 May 2025.

JAN GRIHA is a simplified, checklist-based assessment tool designed to bring self-constructed, stand-alone residential homes, with a built-up area of less than 200 sqm, into the fold of sustainable development practices.

It was attended by more than 50 participants and received an overwhelming response. During the webinar, queries and suggestions from the stakeholders were discussed to enhance awareness and clarify notions pertaining to the certification.

The training was conducted by Ms. Prerona Kaushik, Deputy Manager & Area Convenor, GRIHA Council, and covered a detailed discussion on the process, concepts, criteria, and requirements of the Certification. This was followed by a comprehensive walk-through of the online panel, demonstrated by Mr. Basil T Kochupurackal, Deputy Manager, GRIHA Council.

We are committed to working closely with financial institutions to foster partnerships that will enable the large-scale adoption and implementation of Green Homes across the country.
